Bruins Open PAC 8 Home Schedule Against UTAH
After a pair of tough losses on the road at Oregon to open up the PAC 8 Hockey season last weekend, the UCLA Bruins will look for better results at home tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) when they take on the 2012 Conference Finalist UTAH Skatin Utes for a pair of games Saturday night at the LA Kings Valley Ice Center. Both games are 8:30pm starts and the Bruins will be looking gain ground in the PAC standings. The UTES come in to LA at 2-0 after a pair of wins on the road over Washington State two weeks ago and will no doubt present a tough test for the Bruins after being finalists in the PAC in their inaugeral season last year.
Bruins Coach, Mark Francis will be looking for the Bruins to ramp up their compete level this weekend against a solid opponent. “Even though we didn’t get the results we wanted in Oregon, the guys came together in game 2 and really competed. We were physical and difficult to play against which is a necessity in this league. The schedule is so short that every game has meaning so we have to bring our “A” game this weekend if we hope to see some positive results in the standings.”
Following this weekend, the Bruins will host Washington State for a pair of games next weekend, also at the LA Kings Valley Ice Center.
